Healthy Living Objections to Union Election Dismissed

We’re excited to announce that, following its investigation, Region 3 of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has dismissed Healthy Living’s objections to the union election held on April 30 and officially certified our union!

What did the NLRB say?

The NLRB threw out any allegations of misconduct on the part of the Union, finding no merit in any of the company’s objections. Here is a direct quote from the NLRB’s ruling:

“Considering the offer of proof in the light most favorable to the Employer, it does not raise substantial and material issues of fact sufficient to support a prima facie showing of objectionable conduct that would have materially affected the election results. Additionally, the objections fail to raise any issues that would require a hearing for the reasons set forth below”

You can read the full NLRB decision here.

What does this mean?

This means the NLRB has reaffirmed that our election was fair and that a clear majority of workers voted in favor of forming our union!

Our elected bargaining committee has asked Healthy Living’s owners to provide dates so we can begin the bargaining process. We look forward to meeting at the bargaining table and negotiating our first union contract together.

In solidarity,

Healthy Living Workers United
